Cantus: the ensemble
Eloqventia, founded and directed by virtuoso recorder player,
Alejandro Villar, specialized in the performance of the medieval repertoire. For their CD debut,
Eloqventia has chosen to appear as a duo, with
Villar in charge of a wide variety of medieval flutes and
symphonia, and one of the most ubiquous percussion players of the moment,
David Mayoral, who can be heard with many different ensembles, from
L'Arpeggiata to
Hesperion XXI or
La Ritirata.

Eloqventia can be underlined: in addition to the extraordinary techical virtuosity of their members, they favour a very direct sound, highlighting each and every detail, which provides a unique texture to their performances.
